Description
SUNLU TPU is a flexible filament available in two Shore A hardness grades: 90A (softer, springier — for phone cases, soles, dampers) and 95A (slightly firmer, holds its shape — for handles, seals, bushings). The line stands out for high elasticity, abrasion resistance, and a 99.9% antibacterial, mold-proof surface. With elongation at break up to 1063% on the 95A grade, parts bend and stretch without snapping.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 190–240 °C (95A: 190–230 °C, 90A: 220–240 °C)
- Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
- Print speed: 50–120 mm/s for 95A, up to 40 mm/s for the softer 90A
- Diameter: 1.75 mm with ±0.03 mm tolerance
- Lower retraction and run cooling — flexible filament tends to string
The line suits phone cases, vibration dampers, straps, seals, RC tires, and toys. It prints on most FDM machines without an enclosure or a hardened nozzle; the 90A grade needs slow, careful feeding, while 95A is more forgiving and a good starting point for anyone new to flexibles.
Frequently asked questions
No. TPU prints fine on an open printer without an enclosure. A heated bed at 50–60 °C and a standard nozzle are enough.
