Description
ELEGOO PC-FR is a polycarbonate-based filament rated UL 94 V-0 for flammability: once the flame source is removed, the part self-extinguishes instead of feeding the fire. On top of that self-extinguishing behavior you get polycarbonate's signature strengths — high impact resistance and heat stability. It's a material for functional parts where toughness and fire safety matter: automotive electrics, electronics housings, and mechanical assemblies.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 250–280 °C
- Bed temperature: 100–110 °C
- Print speed: 30–60 mm/s
- Diameter: 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool
- Enclosure and all-metal hotend required; dry for 8 h at 80 °C before printing
PC-FR suits printers with an enclosure and a high-temp hotend — Bambu Lab X1C, QIDI Plus/X series, Creality K1 Max, and similar machines. Use it for electronics enclosures and brackets, connectors, under-hood parts, and any assemblies that have to meet fire-safety and heat-resistance requirements.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, it's required. Polycarbonate warps badly as it cools, so you print it only in an enclosure with the bed at 100–110 °C to hold a stable temperature and keep parts from lifting off the plate.
