Description
ELEGOO Thermochromic Resin is a color-changing UV resin for desktop LCD/MSLA printers. When heated to around 50°C it shifts from grey to purple, then returns to grey as it cools. The effect is reversible and repeatable — warm water, the heat of your hands or a hair dryer is enough to trigger it. It cures under 405nm UV light and works with most desktop resin machines.
Print Settings
- Cure wavelength: 405nm
- Normal exposure: roughly 2–3s (for 8K screens; machine dependent)
- Bottom exposure: 25–35s
- Viscosity ~600–800 mPa·s, density ~1.05–1.13 g/cm³, low shrinkage and crisp detail
- Wash with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, low odor, UV post-curing required
The line is built for eye-catching miniatures, figurines, interactive props and novelty pieces that react to heat. The color shift reads best on larger surfaces and bases. It's compatible with every desktop resin printer that uses 405nm UV light — for example Elegoo Mars and Saturn, Anycubic Photon and similar machines.
