Description

ELEGOO PLA-CF is regular PLA reinforced with chopped carbon fiber. The carbon boosts stiffness and strength, cuts down warping and shrinkage, and the matte carbon-fiber texture does a great job hiding layer lines. It prints almost like standard PLA — no clogs or bubbles — but the abrasive fiber chews through brass nozzles fast, so a hardened nozzle is a must.

Print Settings

  • Nozzle temperature: 200–230 °C
  • Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
  • Print speed: 60 mm/s (recommended), up to 200 mm/s
  • Diameter: 1.75 mm, ±0.02 mm tolerance
  • Hardened nozzle required, no enclosure needed

The line is a good fit for functional and engineering parts where stiffness and dimensional stability matter: brackets, holders, enclosures, frames, and jigs. The 1.75 mm filament works with almost any FDM printer — Creality Ender 3 and K-series, Anycubic Kobra, Bambu Lab, and others — as long as you run a hardened nozzle. Keep in mind that finished PLA parts start softening around 55–60 °C, so keep them away from heat sources.

FAQ

Yes, absolutely. The chopped carbon fiber is abrasive and quickly wears down a soft brass nozzle. Use a hardened steel nozzle — otherwise the bore opens up within a couple of spools and print quality drops.
