Description

SUNLU PC-ABS is an engineering filament made from a polymer alloy of polycarbonate (PC) and ABS. It blends the heat resistance and toughness of PC with the easier printing of ABS, so parts stay stable under load and high temperatures. The smooth surface takes paint and metal plating well, which makes it a budget-friendly pick for strong, good-looking functional parts without expensive carbon-filled blends.

Print Settings

  • Nozzle temperature: 260–280 °C
  • Bed temperature: 100–110 °C
  • Chamber temperature: 90–100 °C
  • Print speed: 50–230 mm/s
  • Cooling fan: off (minimal)
  • Heat deflection (HDT): around 102 °C

The line suits functional parts that run hot and carry load: automotive interior parts, electronics housings, snap-fit clips and gears, and blanks for painting or chrome plating. Print it on enclosed machines with chamber heating (Bambu Lab X1C, QIDI, enclosed printers) rather than open bedslingers.

FAQ

Yes. PC-ABS needs an enclosed printer with a heated chamber around 90–100 °C, otherwise parts warp and delaminate. Reliable prints are hard to get on an open printer without a chamber.
