Description
Anycubic PLA Silk is a PLA filament with a silky, glossy surface and a subtle metallic sheen. What sets it apart from regular PLA is that lustrous shine and near-invisible layer lines: vases, decor, and figurines look molded rather than printed. It's made from biodegradable corn and grain, prints odor-free, and ships vacuum-sealed with neat winding that protects the filament from moisture and tangles before its first print.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 200–230 °C
- Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
- Print speed: 50–60 mm/s (slower = brighter sheen), up to 100 mm/s
- Diameter: 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool
- No enclosure or hardened nozzle required
Anycubic PLA Silk is the pick when looks matter most: vases, lamps, gifts, figurines, and holiday decor. The lineup includes 12 colors, from a rainbow gradient to metallic gold, copper, and silver. It works with almost any 1.75 mm FDM printer — Anycubic Kobra, Creality Ender 3, Bambu Lab, and more — with especially consistent results on Anycubic machines.
Frequently asked questions
The main difference is the silky gloss and subtle metallic sheen: layer lines nearly disappear and the surface looks molded. It prints as easily as regular PLA, but layer adhesion is slightly weaker, so it's meant for decorative parts rather than load-bearing ones.
