Description
The Creality Ender-3 V3 Plus is a larger-volume version of the flagship Ender-3 V3 with a 300×300×330 mm build volume. Released in 2024, the model targets users who need a big work envelope without stepping up to an enclosed CoreXY. Unlike classic Enders with a Y-moving bed, this model uses CoreXZ kinematics: the bed moves only along Y, while the gantry drives X and Z, increasing frame stiffness and enabling higher speeds.
The printer supports up to 600 mm/s print speed and 20,000 mm/s² acceleration with active vibration compensation (Input Shaping via G-sensor). The direct drive extruder heats the nozzle to 300 °C and handles PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, plus PLA-CF and PETG-CF composites. Bed temperature reaches 100 °C, flexible PEI build plate, two Y-axis motors, two Z-axis motors, a full-color touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Creality Cloud and a filament sensor ship by default.
Advantages
- Large build volume 300×300×330 mm — one of the roomiest open-frame FDM printers in its price bracket
- CoreXZ kinematics with dual Y motors and dual Z motors — higher stiffness and stability than a traditional bedslinger
- Up to 600 mm/s speed and 20,000 mm/s² acceleration with Input Shaping — real-world 300–400 mm/s without loss of quality
- 80% pre-assembled modular design — full setup in 10–15 minutes with automatic mesh bed leveling
- Direct drive up to 300 °C and flexible PEI plate — prints PETG, ABS and carbon-fiber composites without modifications
- Full-color touchscreen, Wi-Fi and Creality Cloud — convenient job management and model library access
Disadvantages
- Open frame with no enclosed chamber — ABS and ASA require a DIY enclosure, thermal stability is lower than on enclosed CoreXY machines
- No built-in camera or print monitoring — remote viewing only via third-party solutions
- Noise from dual Y and dual Z motors at high speeds — 55–60 dB per user reports, not ideal for overnight prints in a living room
- Creality Print slicer is less flexible than OrcaSlicer or Bambu Studio — experienced users move to third-party profiles
The Ender-3 V3 Plus suits makers and small workshops who need a large build volume at a reasonable price: big enclosures, helmets, functional parts and prototypes up to 330 mm tall. It's a solid choice for users already familiar with FDM who are willing to invest time in part-cooling tweaks or a DIY enclosure for engineering plastics.
In the build-volume-to-price-to-speed equation, this model remains one of the most practical open-frame FDM printers of 2024–2026. It works out of the box for PLA and PETG and needs only minor tweaks for ABS and carbon-fiber materials.
