Description
The Bambu Lab H2D is a 4-in-1 personal manufacturing hub: 3D printer, laser engraver, cutter, and pen plotter. Designed for advanced makers and small businesses, it provides a versatile workstation in a single machine. The standout feature is the dual-nozzle system with an actively heated 65 °C chamber and quick tool swapping without disassembly.
Built on a CoreXY frame with a fully enclosed chamber, the H2D offers a 325x320x325 mm build volume in single-nozzle mode and 300x320x325 mm in dual-nozzle mode, with a total volume of 350x320x325 mm. The nozzle reaches 350 °C, the heated bed reaches 120 °C. Optional 10W and 40W laser modules enable engraving and cutting wood, leather, and acrylic. The cutting module handles paper, vinyl, and other thin materials.
Advantages
- 4 tools in one machine — 3D printing, laser engraving (up to 40W), cutting, and pen plotting — tool swapping takes seconds
- Large 325x320x325 mm build volume — one of the largest among Bambu Lab printers, suitable for large-scale projects
- Dual-nozzle system for multi-color and multi-material printing with PMSM servo extruder — stable extrusion even at high speeds
- Active 65 °C heated chamber with G3 + HEPA H12 filtration — full support for engineering materials PA, PC, PPS without warping
- Named one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2025 — excellent print quality confirmed by Tom's Hardware, TechRadar, and All3DP reviews
- AI monitoring system with 4 cameras and sensors — real-time print error detection and automatic diagnostics
Disadvantages
- High price starting at $1,749 for the base model — the full kit with laser and AMS costs significantly more
- Weight of 31 kg and the need to store multiple modules (laser, cutter, swap plates) — requires workspace organization
- Laser engraving produces smoke and soot inside the chamber — long-term effects on printer components are not yet studied
- No Linux support for Bambu Studio — only MacOS and Windows
The Bambu Lab H2D is ideal for makers who need a versatile workstation — printing prototypes, engraving on wood and leather, cutting stickers. Small businesses will appreciate the ability to produce diverse products with a single machine. If you only need 3D printing, consider the H2S or P2S instead.
The H2D is a unique offering on the market, combining four tools in one enclosure. There are virtually no competitors in this niche, and the quality of each operating mode matches that of dedicated specialized devices.
