Description
The Anycubic Photon Mono M5s Pro is an MSLA resin 3D printer built around a high-resolution monochrome LCD. It's aimed at users who need maximum detail: miniatures, jewelry masters, dental work and engineering prototypes. The headline feature is a 10.1-inch 14K screen plus wireless, leveling-free printing.
The screen delivers a 13312×5120 resolution, giving a 16.8 µm XY pixel size and extremely sharp edges. The build volume is 223.78×126.38×200 mm, with an average speed up to 105 mm/h on a third-generation ACF release film with reduced peeling force. The platform self-levels via a floating design and internal sensors, while a dedicated Air Heater & Purifier module warms the air to 40 °C for cold-room printing and absorbs resin odor. Control is via a 4.3" touchscreen, USB and Wi-Fi with the Anycubic app.
Pros
- 14K screen (13312×5120) and a 16.8 µm pixel — among the highest detail in the home segment at launch
- Leveling-free printing: the floating platform and sensors set the first layer automatically
- Smart features: resin residue detection protects the screen from cracking, and an AI algorithm tunes peeling height to model shape
- Air heater and purifier module — stable printing in a cold room and noticeably less resin smell
- Up to 105 mm/h on a third-generation ACF film with reduced peeling force
- Wi-Fi and the Anycubic app with pre-sliced models for one-touch printing
Cons
- High detail needs careful exposure and support tuning in the slicer, or fine features won't resolve
- Like any resin printer, it requires gloves, ventilation and IPA washing — the purifier helps but doesn't remove the chores
- On some bundles the Air Heater & Purifier module is a separate purchase
- Discontinued — official supply and service are limited; consumables are easier to find from resellers
The Photon Mono M5s Pro suits miniature and tabletop hobbyists, jewelers and dental techs, plus engineers who need accurate prototypes with smooth surfaces. It's a machine for people willing to learn resin printing for part quality, not for someone after a simple household printer.
Bottom line: one of the most detailed home MSLA printers of its generation — outstanding resolution and convenient automation in exchange for the usual resin upkeep.
