Description
The Creality K2 Plus is a large-format enclosed CoreXY printer with a 350x350x350 mm build volume. Released in 2024 as Creality's flagship, it is the brand's first printer with the CFS multi-color system. It targets experienced users, makers, and small businesses that need a big build area and multi-material printing. Current pricing starts at $1299 for the base unit and $1499 for the Combo with CFS.
The machine uses a CoreXY frame with acceleration up to 30,000 mm/s² and a top speed of 600 mm/s. The tri-metal nozzle reaches 350 °C, the bed 120 °C, and the heated chamber up to 60 °C. Supported materials include PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA, PC, PPS, and carbon- and glass-filled composites. Two AI cameras handle first-layer calibration and remote monitoring with timelapses. The CFS holds four spools and cascades up to four units for as many as 16 colors.
Advantages
- 350x350x350 mm build volume — rare for an enclosed CoreXY at this price, fits helmets and large parts in one print
- 350 °C nozzle and 60 °C heated chamber — reliable ABS, ASA, PA-CF, PPS-CF printing without warping
- Up to 16 colors via CFS — four cascaded 4-spool units with RFID filament detection
- Dual AI cameras — one calibrates the first layer, the other streams 1080p monitoring with timelapses
- 600 mm/s at 30,000 mm/s² — input shaping and a rigid 35 kg frame keep surfaces clean at speed
- 4.3" touchscreen and full auto bed leveling — quick setup on first start
Disadvantages
- CFS trails Bambu AMS 2 Pro and Prusa MMU3 — users report jams and feeding glitches, firmware still needs polish
- Large bed needs regular calibration — check tilt before critical prints, especially after moving the machine
- Noticeable noise at high speeds — 1200 W PSU and powerful fans make it unsuitable for a living room
- High price — $1299 base, $1499 Combo is above rivals, and Creality Print 6.0 is less polished than Bambu Studio
The Creality K2 Plus is a fit for experienced users, makers, and small studios that want a large build volume, engineering materials, and multi-color printing in one box. It is too loud for a shared living room, and beginners are better off starting with a K1C or a Bambu Lab P1S.
The K2 Plus is a mature Creality flagship that covers large-format FDM work and the brand's first serious take on multi-color. If you can live with early CFS and firmware quirks, you get one of the most capable enclosed CoreXY printers on the market.
