Description
eSUN TPU-LW is a flexible TPU that foams as it prints, giving lightweight, springy parts. It pairs TPU's elasticity with low weight: heated, its density drops, so the same spool yields noticeably more volume. A favorite of RC plane builders for cushioning parts.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 220–250 °C (hotter = more foaming)
- Bed temperature: 30–50 °C
- Print speed: 25–40 mm/s (low)
- Reduce flow to compensate for foaming
- Diameter: 1.75 mm, 0.75 kg spool
It's both flexible and foaming, so it's trickier than regular TPU: you need a direct-drive extruder, low speed and temperature/flow tuning to hit the density you want. Dry the filament at 50 °C before printing.
Great for lightweight cushioning and damping parts, RC gear and model planes where you need both flexibility and low weight. Prints on open-frame machines, but it takes patience.
