Description
eSUN ASA+ is the outdoor alternative to ABS: the same strength and heat resistance, but with UV and weather resistance. ASA doesn't fade in sunlight or yellow, so parts keep their look outdoors for years.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 235–260 °C
- Bed temperature: 90–110 °C
- Cooling fan: minimal (0–20%)
- Diameter: 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool
Like ABS, ASA+ warps in a draft and gives off fumes. You need an enclosure and ventilation. Keep the fan minimal to avoid layer delamination.
Great for parts that live outdoors: automotive components, outdoor housings, camera mounts, garden fixtures. Requires an enclosure and a heated bed.
FAQ
ASA is UV- and weather-resistant: it doesn't yellow or crack in sunlight. ABS fades and turns brittle under sun over time.
