Description
ELEGOO PET-CF is an engineering filament built on a PET base and reinforced with chopped carbon fiber. Unlike regular PETG, the PET base delivers higher stiffness and heat resistance, while the carbon fiber boosts strength and cuts warping. Parts come out rigid, dimensionally stable, and almost free of visible layer lines, with a refined matte, lightly textured finish. After annealing, prints withstand heat up to 194 °C.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 270–300 °C
- Bed temperature: 70–90 °C
- Print speed: 50–100 mm/s
- Hardened nozzle and all-metal hotend required — carbon fiber is abrasive
- Dry before printing: 70 °C for 8 hours (the material is hygroscopic)
- Diameter: 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool
PET-CF is a great fit for functional parts that need stiffness, dimensional stability, and heat resistance: brackets, mounts, housings, and jigs. Its low warp lets you print large models, and while an enclosure isn't required, it helps with bigger parts. The filament works with any 1.75 mm printer that has a heated bed up to 90 °C, a hardened nozzle, and an all-metal hotend — such as Bambu Lab, Creality K-series, and Qidi.
FAQ
Yes, it's required. Carbon fiber is abrasive and grinds out a brass nozzle within tens of hours, widening the bore and ruining quality. Print with a hardened nozzle (steel or ruby-tipped) and an all-metal hotend.
