Description

SUNLU Nylon PA6-CF is an engineering-grade nylon filament: 80% PA6 polyamide blended with 20% carbon fiber. The carbon reinforcement delivers high stiffness, strength and heat resistance while keeping layer adhesion solid. The line is built for load-bearing functional parts: gears, brackets, fan blades, frames and housings that have to survive elevated temperatures.

Print Settings

  • Nozzle temperature: 270–290 °C
  • Bed temperature: 80–100 °C, use a thin coat of PVA glue or Magigoo PA for adhesion
  • Print speed: 50–100 mm/s
  • Drying before printing is mandatory: 80 °C for 24 hours or 110 °C for 4 hours
  • Annealing finished parts: 80–130 °C for 5–12 hours unlocks heat resistance up to 209 °C

This material fits industrial and automotive jobs: exhaust pipes, motor covers, handles and mounts, where ordinary PLA, PC or ASA can no longer hold the heat. Print it on a machine with an enclosure, an all-metal hotend and a hardened nozzle.

FAQ

Yes. Carbon fiber is abrasive and chews through brass nozzles quickly. Use a hardened-steel or coated nozzle, otherwise the bore widens within a couple of spools.
