Description

eSUN PA-CF is carbon-fiber reinforced nylon. The carbon adds stiffness, heat resistance and dimensional stability to an already tough nylon. It's one of the most engineering-grade consumer filaments: parts are stiff, impact-resistant and hold high temperatures.

Print Settings

  • Nozzle temperature: 260–290 °C
  • Bed temperature: 60–90 °C
  • Cooling fan: off or minimal
  • Nozzle: hardened, 0.4 mm+
  • Drying: 80 °C for about 8 hours before printing

Great for the most demanding engineering parts: brackets, housings, tooling and automotive components that run warm. Needs an enclosure, a hardened nozzle and dry filament.

FAQ

An all-metal hotend with a hardened nozzle. The 260–290 °C print temp is too hot for PTFE in the heat zone, and carbon fiber wears out a brass nozzle.
