Description

eSUN ePA12-CF is nylon 12 (PA12) reinforced with carbon fiber. Unlike regular nylon, PA12 absorbs much less moisture and stays more dimensionally stable. Add carbon and it becomes stiff, heat-resistant and impact-resistant — a top-tier engineering filament.

Print Settings

Nozzle temperature: 260–300 °C
Bed temperature: 50–80 °C
Cooling fan: off or minimal
Nozzle: hardened, 0.4 mm+
Drying: 80 °C for about 8 hours before printing

Even though PA12 absorbs little moisture, it's still best to dry the filament at 80 °C before printing. The 260–300 °C temp needs an all-metal hotend, and the carbon fiber needs a hardened nozzle.

Great for the most demanding, dimensionally accurate engineering parts: functional housings, brackets, tooling and short production runs. Needs an enclosure, a hardened nozzle and an all-metal hotend.
