ELEGOO 42-40 Stepper Motor for Neptune 4 Series

The factory ELEGOO stepper with a 40 mm NEMA17 body — hence the 42-40 label. It drives the X and Y axes across the whole Neptune 4 line and ships with the GT2 pulley already pressed onto the shaft, so there's nothing to transfer. You replace it when layers start walking in one direction, the motor buzzes and runs hot, or the axis binds when you push it by hand with the printer off — usually shot bearings or a shorted winding.

Some positions on the Neptune 4 and 4 Pro use the shorter 42-34 instead, so measure your motor's body length first. A few sellers also list Centauri Carbon on this item — that machine takes the longer 42-60.
