Description

SUNLU Twinkling PLA is regular PLA with a sparkle effect: shimmering particles are blended into the resin, so finished models catch the light and look like a dusting of frost or glitter. The key difference from matte and silk PLA is that grainy surface sparkle, which works great on snowflakes, ornaments and decorative figurines. It prints just as easily as standard PLA — no enclosure and no hardened nozzle needed.

The sparkle effect shows best with a 0.4 mm nozzle or larger. The shimmer particles are far less abrasive than carbon fiber, but on very long production runs a brass nozzle may wear slightly faster. A standard nozzle and regular hotend are perfectly fine.

This line is a good fit for decorative printing: holiday ornaments and snowflakes, figurines, vases and gifts where a glittering surface matters. The filament is compatible with most FDM printers — SUNLU, Creality, Anycubic and similar machines. Available in Twinkling Blue and Twinkling Black.

FAQ

Do I need a hardened nozzle for SUNLU Twinkling PLA?

No. The sparkle particles are much softer than carbon fiber, so a standard brass nozzle handles it. Very large production runs may wear brass a little faster, but for home printing a standard nozzle is enough.
