Description
eSUN Silk PLA (ePLA-Silk) is a PLA with a silky metallic sheen. The surface shines like polished metal, so parts look striking with no painting — especially vases, statuettes and decor.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 190–230 °C
- Bed temperature: 45–60 °C
- Cooling fan: 100%
- Diameter: 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool
The sheen looks best on large smooth parts with minimal fine detail. Print a bit slower than regular PLA — that gives a more even gloss with no banding.
Great for decorative prints: vases, figurines, gifts, enclosures with a metallic look. Prints with no enclosure on any FDM printer.
FAQ
It contains additives that give the plastic a silky sheen. On smooth walls the light reflects evenly, so the part looks like polished metal.
