Description

eSUN PA is nylon (polyamide), one of the toughest and most wear-resistant consumer filaments. Parts are flexible, tough and shrug off abrasion, which is why nylon is used for gears, hinges, latches and load-bearing mechanical parts.

Print Settings

  • Nozzle temperature: 240–270 °C
  • Bed temperature: 60–90 °C
  • Cooling fan: off or minimal
  • Drying: 80 °C for about 8 hours before printing
  • Enclosure: recommended

Great for functional, wear-resistant parts: gears, bushings, hinges, latches, tools. Best printed in an enclosure with a heated bed — nylon loves to warp.

FAQ

Nylon is extremely hygroscopic and quickly absorbs moisture from the air. Wet filament pops, bubbles and loses strength. Dry it at 80 °C for about 8 hours and print straight from the dryer.
