Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra
The Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra is the upper tier of the 2024 Mars line: a 7-inch 9K mono LCD (8520 × 4320) with an 18 µm pixel, a 153.36 × 77.76 × 165 mm build volume, speeds up to 150 mm/h and a 405 nm COB light source. What sets it apart from the base model is the tilting vat that peels each layer at an angle, plus Wi-Fi, an AI camera and automatic Z-zero detection via a mechanical sensor.
Mars 5 Ultra owners keep running into four topics: the 1.3.9 firmware branch that leaves the printer stuck on the ELEGOO splash, the "Automatic leveling failed" and "Foreign matter detected" self-test messages, plate tilt that the stock adjustment screws can't fix, and resin leaking into the tilt assembly. The masking LCD is a sore point of its own: warranty runs three months and excludes resin leaks.
