Description
ELEGOO PLA Silk is a silk-finish filament with a glossy, almost metallic shine. Special additives give the printed surface a smooth shimmer, and many shades in the lineup are dual- or tri-color, gradually shifting hue up the height of the model. It prints as easily as regular PLA — no clogs, bubbles, or tangles, with a neatly wound spool.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 200–230 °C
- Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
- Print speed: 50–60 mm/s for the best shine, up to 150 mm/s
- Diameter: 1.75 mm, ±0.02 mm tolerance
- No enclosure, hardened nozzle, or drying required
ELEGOO PLA Silk works with almost any 1.75 mm FDM printer — Creality Ender 3, Anycubic Kobra, Bambu Lab, and more. It's ideal for vases, figurines, gifts, and decorative models, especially in vase mode (single-wall spiral printing), where the color shift really comes to life.
FAQ
Silk PLA adds shine-enhancing agents to standard PLA for a glossy shimmer. It prints just as easily but ends up a bit less strong and more prone to scratches, so it's best for decorative prints rather than functional parts.
