Description
eSUN TPE-83A is a soft, rubber-like filament with 83A hardness. It's more flexible and softer than TPU, closer to real rubber: it stretches, bends and springs back well. It's used for seals, straps, dampers and protective covers.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 220–250 °C
- Bed temperature: 40–60 °C
- Print speed: 25–40 mm/s (low)
- Cooling fan: 100%
- Diameter: 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool
Soft TPE buckles inside a Bowden tube, so it's best run on a direct-drive extruder at low speed. Dry the filament at 50 °C before printing — TPE is hygroscopic.
Great for flexible, high-stretch parts: seals, gaskets, straps, dampers and non-slip pads. Prints on open-frame machines, but it takes patience and a direct-drive extruder.
FAQ
TPE-83A is softer and more elastic than most TPU, closer to rubber. But it's harder to print: it wants a direct drive and low speed. TPU is easier to print but stiffer.
