Description
eSUN PEBA-LW is a lightweight foaming elastomer based on PEBA (polyether block amide). It combines springiness and excellent shape recovery with low weight thanks to controlled foaming. It shines where you need light weight, cushioning and good cold-temperature performance.
Print Settings
- Nozzle temperature: 220–270 °C (hotter = more foaming)
- Bed temperature: 30–50 °C
- Low print speed, direct-drive extruder
- Reduce flow to compensate for foaming
- Diameter: 1.75 mm, 0.8 kg spool
It's both flexible and foaming, so it's trickier than regular TPU: you need a direct drive, low speed and temperature tuning to hit the density you want. Dry the filament at 60 °C before printing.
Great for sports gear, cushioning and damping parts, and orthopedic inserts — anywhere light weight, springiness and cold stability matter. Prints with no enclosure.
FAQ
PEBA (polyether block amide) is a high-end elastomer. It's springy, recovers its shape well and performs in the cold. The PEBA-LW version also foams, giving lightweight parts.
