Creality K1C

The Creality K1C is a K1 variant with a tool-steel hardened nozzle and an AI monitoring camera, built for long-running carbon-filled filament work — PA-CF, PET-CF and PLA-CF without premature nozzle wear (220×220×250 mm build volume, advertised 600 mm/s, stock Klipper firmware, direct drive). Owners come here when stepping up from PLA to composites and dealing with nozzle clogs, PTFE wear at 30–50 hours, retraction tuning for stiff filaments, and choosing mods for long-running carbon work — wear-resistant feeder bearings and a regular cleaning routine.

The most common scenarios are nozzle clogs in the first hours with carbon, feeder skipping, and quick wear of extruder gear teeth. The K1C hardened nozzle solves only part of the issue — long-term composite work needs wear-resistant bearings and regular cleaning. If you just unboxed it, start with retraction tuning for PA-CF and flow calibration. After six months, walk through PTFE tube and extruder gear replacement.
