Bambu Lab X2D

The Bambu Lab X2D is an enclosed CoreXY printer from 2026 that replaces the X1 Carbon. Its defining feature is two nozzles with a mechanical switch: the main one prints the model while the auxiliary lays down soluble supports or a second material. Build volume is 256 × 256 × 260 mm, with an actively heated chamber up to 65 °C and a main nozzle that reaches 1000 mm/s. Pricing starts at $649, or $899 for the AMS 2 Pro Combo.

Owners and buyers most often want to know how close the X2D's dual-nozzle setup is to a real IDEX (it isn't equivalent — the second nozzle is Bowden-fed and slower), whether it truly prints at 1000 mm/s (that's the main nozzle's ceiling only), and whether it's worth more than the single-nozzle P2S. Another recurring topic is the missing LiDAR that the X1 Carbon had.
